Dominic Hering joined RKCA in 2021 as a Senior Associate. Dominic works on both M&A advisory engagements and direct investments. For M&A advisory engagements, Dominic is responsible for managing the transaction process, including drafting of marketing materials, buyer outreach, valuation and financial modeling, and industry research. Dominic spends time specifically covering the IT Managed Services sector, which stems from significant buyside industry experience at his prior firm.

Prior to RKCA, Dominic was a Vice President at Deerpath Capital Management, LP, a New York City-based private debt fund that has deployed over $4 billion of capital since inception. There, he was responsible for originating, structuring, and executing new investments. He was also responsible for managing existing investments, in which he served as a board observer for numerous portfolio companies. Dominic worked on transactions across different sectors, but has extensive deal experience in IT Managed Services, Software, Education Technology, Insurance Brokerage, and Business Services companies.

Prior to Deerpath, Dominic worked in leveraged finance at Fifth Third Bank. His collective transaction experience prior to RKCA represents approximately $750 million of deployed capital across senior debt investments and equity co-investments. Dominic is also a former CPA and began his career at PwC as a public accountant.
