RKCA advised Gentile Bros. in the sale to private investor and former employee Jeff Oaks. The longstanding company—founded in 1881—served retail, foodservice and processing customers throughout the Midwest and provided customized packaging and has ripening and processing facilities for tomatoes, bananas, melons and tree fruit. Oaks not only had experience as a Gentile Bros. employee, but also as a senior produce buyer for Alliant Foodservice and group sales manager for Total Quality Logistics, which was his role at the time of the sale.
